I've been looking for a nice raw, BU RB Two Cent on ebay for quite some time now. It's just getting ridiculous. So much cleaned, retoned, questionable color, corroded crap on there. IF anyone is looking to trade a nice MS Two Cent Piece, let me know.

Sorry, guys.. I didn't know so many CCF members have the U.S. .02 cent coins. Come to think of it I have almost a complete set myself.

To be honest I have a few (very few) RB coins that are original, I used to have a very high end MS66 set that had quite a few RB coins in it. But mostly I have EF and lower graded coins now as I'm going after a die pairing set. I buy a lot of F-12 through AU coins, and not many MS coins any more. But I agree that finding any original Red or red brown 2¢ coins anywhere is a tough order! Look to the certified only coins and keep an eye out for CAC sticker ones.

Look for a TPG Certified version to help keep from being burned.

So what, most Two Cent Pieces in dealers showcases aren't "original" either.

I've got some Two Cent Pieces as well. Two sets, one proof and one circulation strike. There are always questionable coins on ebay, probably always will be. Maybe you need to expand your search criteria. There are quite a few reputable copper dealers out there.

I own a nice brown two center in a PCGS65 holder with a green bean to boot. I really didn't want it but it came as part of a trade so it just sort of sits around in my SDB.

Sort of hard to see much detail but here is another Two Cent set I have assembled. These coins are all 1864 Large Motto. This goes from AG3 to MS66, all grades, 24 pieces in all. The sharp eyed among you may notice the VG8 coin is labeled as a Small Motto, but the coin is a Large Motto.

Looks like a super set, can't really see it at that size though.

Haha I must have been frustrated a couple days ago at 2 a.m. when I wrote this. Penny Guy, wish the pics were bigger, but those both look like awesome sets. I guess original RB Two Cents are tougher to find than I had originally thought.
