Ebay Question - Overseas Seller Not Responding

Paul Bulgerin Pillar of the Community United States 3098 Posts	Posted 05/31/2014 11:09 pm I saw a coin on ebay France and put in a bid. After I bid I noticed that the auction said the seller ships to France and that he may not ship to the US. I emailed the seller and explained that I'd put in a bid and asked if he would consider shipping to the US, but he did not respond. I ended up being the only bidder and won the coin. I've twice requested an invoice from the seller asking for a shipping cost to the US, but he/she has not responded. Am I out of luck if the seller doesn't respond? Do I have any options? westernsky Pillar of the Community United States 7650 Posts	Posted 06/01/2014 12:10 am It is entirely up to the Seller whether he wants to ship the item to you. He clearly states he only ships to France. He does this for a reason. Looks like he may not have his blocked countries set up properly. I do not ship internationally because I've been burned one time too many by the notorious "I never received my item" dispute/complaint. With him not responding to your inquiry I think it's pretty clear he is not interested. Report this Post to the Staff
edweather Pillar of the Community United States 7375 Posts	Posted 06/01/2014 2:42 pm If you won the coin, wait a few days and open a case. Since the seller said they 'might' ship to the US and is not curteous enough to respond, at least opening a case would force the seller to cancel the transaction. Just my .02.
