I decided to start coin roll searching for the first time today, and this was the very first coin I started with. On the obverse, I noticed very strange areas under the ear, above the word "Trust", and all in front of/on the face. Can anyone help me figure out just what is going on here, because I'm not sure at all! Thanks in advance for any help!

Thanks guys! That website and overlay were really helpful! Would this strong clash bring any premium?

yes, there would be some are small like $5-10 and some are quite high selling one similar 1999-p for $1,500 on ebay but that is BID not sure what the real premiums are for them 191207253398

I was considering sending this coin in for certification, but I was wondering, in your honest opinion, would it be worth my time/money to do this?

A clash that strong would certainly bring a premium but it would still be outweighed by the slabbing and shipping costs.
