hi all would anyone have any info or a picture on the listing in the standard catalog of world coins shilling thanks I would like to know what the effigy changes were for a strange coin I bought and would anyone have pictures of PnE122 OR PnF122 weight and size 1 post down

sorry this is what I have found . a bronze or brass coin its 4.13grams and 23.3mm and 1.7mm thick.it has heads of George v on both sides the head are slightly different I think could it be a trial strick coin there were a few trials of the effigy I see listed maybe the small dot in the front of the ears are a clue one has one dot the other 2 dots

I saw this on ebay.. Went unsold first time then listed quite reasonably with a buy it now. I'd love to know what it is! Bet I've passed on something worthwhile now ha

I passed on a 25p trial at £500 wanting to do a bit more research.. Should have snapped it up as it later sold for £3000+! The conk looked a bit too faded for me to trust it on this occasion though. Sometimes coins can be tampered with to make them appear to be something they're not. I've seen a three pence ' brockage' on ebay recently for example which is merely just a coin that has been attacked. The obverse has been wiped away quite clearly by machinery.

BEESTON1990 I did take a big punt on this coin it tuned out ok hope the coin in this post does ok also if not not much lost

I have done some work and found some die trial of the same effigy in 1925 when this is ment to be fore I think there are a few off metal strikes known
maybe this what a test strike for the effigy changes

the dots on the ear I have found a florin with the same dot totally different years but could this be part of the die making process so if some one could help me with the dots on the ears and are there any varietys from 1925 shillings with dots on the ears both sides have the dot one side has 2 dots
