Do you see a difference between these two images? Describe what you see as different?

Here is a side by side of a normal coin with your coin set in tiles. The ears are the same size. The die shows no hub doubling. No devices are doubled. The shadow might be throwing you off in you images.

You do such an excellent job at showing us the differences Coop! I can see where this is contact damage when you did the grid. Thanks for all your help, it is priceless!

I keep showing all my tricks so everyone can figure out the way I think and use it themselves. I'd be a terrible poker player, a so so, lawyer and a teacher showing how I come to my conclusions. I love it when collectors put things together and post great variety coins/fantastic error coins. We are a coin family and it is nice to say; "Great find" when a new find is posted.

Sorry for the late response, I had to drive my daughter to the doctor and in the short while I'll have to take my wife places, but back to the coin. This is an excellent display and perfect explanation, but when I look at the physical coin using 30x loop I see the extra part of ear, I do not want to call it doubled ear, coming out. And in this case it's real. Of course, when I send it to the screen and use number of lenses, you will see a much bigger part sticking out, but next time I 'll send the picture, I will not use lenses. The colors want be as good, but it will be more realistic. And again if Coop sad no double, I think, I have no chance to reverse it, unless better pictures will do better. thank you.

I do not know if this is a DDO, I do not, but I do know this is not a shadow, it's real, and again in some cases I have to stop using lenses and I do take the blame, because my first pictures were very unrealistic. I have to take longer eye examination of the coin by loop, before sending it to the screen for pictures. Sorry and thanks again.

You can always send it to ANACS to have it attributed if you feel strongly enough about it.

I will have to dig out some of the ones I have as well.
I believe I have copies of the 'exact' same marks on about half a dozen of those.
Let me try to find them and get some pictures. It may take a while but I'll look.
Maybe we have something here, maybe we don't.
They can't of all been hit in the same place could they?

khasil: Your coin is normal with a little damage. The extra mark is inside the outline of the normal ear. On a hub doubled ear the extra "mark " is outside the normal outline of the ear. I tried to do an overlay of a "normmal" ear and your ear but am having trouble getting color and contrast correct. They fit so well that it is hard to tell where the overlay image ends and your image begins. Maybe someone else will have better luck.
