Hello all,

Could anyone please tell me what caused this ERROR on the 1984 cent I found while going thru my pennies. Here are the scans so you could take a good look at it.

another cent on top and a really big hammer. the dead giveaway is the letters are reversed.

sry but not an error however I find mutilated and destroyed coins interesting that are pulled from circulation

Looks like a vise job. The letters on both sides are indented and backwards

Post mint damage. Looks like someone was practicing on pennies, just so they coould get it to look right and sell on ebay as OMG!! LQQK MEGA SUPER RARE ERROR WORTH BILLIONS!
