I came across two nice picks last month at a local Jewelry store that only cares about coins as BULLION. Actually got these both the same day! Both were raw coins.... This one I paid $175 ($25 over spot) and he actually dropped it on the floor twice!! Next I paid $26... How did I do? LOL

Regarding that Morgan. . . serves 'em right. How dare they treat an 1895-O Morgan as bullion! I can't believe you got that for $26.00. Congrats! What is the 1905 gold worth?

I'm . . . beginning. . . . to . . . . hate you. Just kidding. It sounds like you've got yourself a nice source to pick from. Address please. Hehe.

And let me add that I will probably never get this lucky with the Morgan series. I can't see myself paying anything but full retail for the 1895 coins because I refuse to buy them raw.

Those are some great scores! Congratulations! I need to start exploring some local jewelry stores to see if they have any bargains!

Awesome! I have tried a few jewelry stores and got nothing but weird looks when I asked if they have any coins. :(

Wow... Boy am I jealous. Shame the guy running the place doesn't know what he's doing... I don't think I could handle seeing him touch and drop a coin like that. Congrats.

Very Nice. Thats a store that I don't look in but now I will have to add that to my list of shops and ask.

The jewelry stores I've tried here in Dallas only buy coins they don't sell to the public (so they say), I'm guessing because most of them know about valuations and Heritage (being local) they probably save them for a wholesaler that comes through and takes all their buys off them. In SoCal I had pretty good luck, and regularly picked some great VAM Morgans from bullion buckets of coins sold at slightly over melt values, but nothing quite as nice as these two coins posted! What a great find and score!

Thanks guys! Yea the owner is so loaded that he doesn't care about the numismatic value. its all bullion to him. He charges WAYY more then my other spots but I cant get anything on this level anywhere else. He gets unc rolls of 2.5 and $5 gold regularly.
