Here's a new purchase that seems to have basically original surfaces and nice color. What grade would be appropriate, and are the small rim dings bad enough to warrant a problem designation? Thanks for your comments!
I agree with Fine Details and Cleaned. The rim dings alone might not make it a problem coin but combined with the surfaces almost certainly would. Occasionally better date pieces like this get into problem-free holders even if they have issues.
Usually circulated gold is darker than this, so I agree with the details grade because of the cleaning. I don't think the dings are noticeable enough to receive a details grade only for that reason, but who knows what the grade might be.
