129 day newbie here----------

CCF members, please educate me

Does Kennedy half dollars have PEGLEGS?

I got out some of my Kennedy half dollars.

There seems to be a "different" look to many.

Some have the "R" going directly into the hair.

Others --- there is a clear space between the end of the "R" and the start of the hair. The left side of the "R" leg is VERY short.

The ones I looked at were dated from 1974 to 2003.

==========================

Is this a deliberate design difference? -- like the Eisenhower 1976 dollar TYPE (1)

They may have used a few different dies on the kennedys.
Probably more common than not.

These are an over polishing die issue. I don't get excited for them. I know others do, but give me an EDS coin that is a variety and I'm happy.
