I am wondering what the value of a 1970 S large date Lincoln Cent is. It has a grade listed of PCGS PR68. According to the pcgs site it should be worth $35 but that seems too high for what the current bid is at. Any insight is appreciated. Thanks

Buy the coin not the slab... For example a 2000 silver Kennedy half dollar has a 22 dollar premium on it..but hard to sell for more than 15 bucks..which is around Red Book prices.. It is what it is slabs are for high dollar coins plain and simple.. Or a coin you want protected... Unless its something that has personal value and you wanna protect it as well

Ok, I noticed that while looking on ebay for some coins. Some that don't seem like they are that "special" are in slabs. Granted I was only looking for S coins.

Where does anybody get newer S coins? I need them for my Lincoln Cent collection in my Dansco albums.

Remember that a TPGS is in buisness to make money. If they allowed people to think lots of coins are worth only a little, no one would send to them for grading. So they purposely inflate prices and values on coins. Then many people send them in to be slabbed and graded by them. This is why so many coins worth only a few dollars are in slabs.
