As far as I knew PNG didn't grade coins

Going to the graders website you find that's it's another basement slabber or is it?

Legitimate website (Paid for?) and member of the RCNA?

If you mean the Professional Numismatists Guild (PNG), they didn't run a grading service, but from 1970 through 1986 they DID run an authentication service and during that time they issued two different types of photocertificates. One 1970 - 84 and the other 1984 - 86. They are fairly rare.

He isn't your typical fly-by-nighter, he does appear to be using a quality slab shell, and the bar codes are different. (Many fly by nighters just use the same "bar code" on all of their slabs.)

The pop report shows 1180 different coins (29 pages of 40 coins each)

Looks like someone who's at least *trying* to be a TPG.

The question then becomes:

1) How accurate are their grades?
2) What guarantee do they offer?

If the answers are 1) "Accurate" and 2) "At least something nominal." then they're just as good as the top tier TPGs. At that point, they merely lack the notoriety. :-)

To clarify this is NOT The PNG known to most American coin collectors. They are based in Temecula, CA

This company is Canadian (Not that there is anything wrong with that)

NOT good to take the name of a company that has been around for a long time in a similar field - I think they may be hoping to get some business off people mistaking them for the Professional Numismatists Guild in the USA.

That said I know nothing of the company linked to above.
