I've been a lurker for a while and a coin roll hunter for a few years. I love to peruse the finds and enjoy all the posts , but this happened today and wondered has anyone else had this happen. I picked up my usual 1000.00 in halves and ended up with 500.00...an entire box of NiFC halves. Do I keep them, toss them back? If it were just a few but with this many...what would you do? Looks like someone was holding them and decided to dump them.

If it was me, I would just dump them. The only halves I keep are silver. You could sell them on ebay as well for a small profit.

Sharpsticks... I'd say if there are multiple years in those NiFC halves put sets together and sell on ebay at a premium. A lot of people would jump at a chance to get some NiFC halves to fill holes in their albums. Just make it worth your time and effort. If it's not, dump.

I too would make myself a couple of sets, then try to sell the rest as sets.

If you don't need the money, just sit on them and sell them as sets as you can.

What dates/mints did you get? I'm not going to break any rules, but if you get your posts up, I'm sure that a few on here would be willing to make a trade to fill holes in their albums.

Thanks for the replies...I'm going to hang on to them for a while. It just seemed such an oddity to end up with so many at one time. I can't seem to find silver so I have to settle for what I can get:)

I would sort them out by date and mintmark and sell them as solid date rolls on ebay.
