mccs http:// http://mccscoins.com/NGS PGS SGS CRC ICCS National Numismatic Certification NNC (Not sure is same as above service) ACGS ICS 7 Other "private" grading companies that DO NOT list any name on their " CoinWorld" purchased holder. Most of the above grading companies use holders purchased through " CoinWorld". Oh yeah, what a great place for the ANA to be associated with.

Limitation of Liability for Grading: All parties understand and agree that the professional opinion required in grading coins involves NNC’s subjective judgment. Consequently, National Numismatic Certification, LLC. makes no warranty or representation and shall have no liability whatsoever to the customer for the grade assigned by NNC to any coin.
What more can I say about this company?

Oh good grief. Tell me again why anyone in their right mind would recommend ebay to a new collector? With all these sharks just waiting to gobble up the uninformed, it would irresponsible at best. Of course, maybe my standards are just too high.

I just sent this "question" to the seller of the above auction: The number of people slabbing coins in their basements and selling them on ebay as "certified" is horrific. What makes your company different? I could not find a website. In fact, I could find no information on your company at all except through this ebay auction. Do you have educated, experienced graders? If so, where did they get their training? Where is the office located? How many employees are there? There are a lot of questions to be answered. What makes you different from the other scammers on ebay who are slabbing their own coins and calling them "certified" and "graded"?
I'm looking forward to receiving the answers to these questions. I have a numismatic forum and would like to provide some answers to my members who have looked at this auction. We'll see what he has to say. Probably nothing worthwhile, but who knows? But wait....there's more! Provided for your reading pleasure: Neg/Neutral Feedback

This is the response I received from the seller on the ACC Grading Submission auctions: Hello, and I'm sorry, but I didn't catch your name...but nevertheless in the interest of your forum I want to thank you for your questions about American certified coins. To answer your first question, "what makes ACC different"? Many things, such as the fastest turn-around times in the industry at the lowest cost for that service! American certified coins also refunds all "no grade" coins or coins that are deemed "not authentic", no one else does that, another difference is that there are no minimum number of coins to be shipped, and no division of coin categories or pricing tiers. The web-site address is www.acccoins.com and going to the site may help answer many of your other questions. The "art" of coin grading is subjective and no one grading service will grade every coin perfectly, right now people look at better dates differently than common dates for example, and the grading of the better dates has seemed to be alittle easier than commons. That trend might change, who knows for sure? Remeber when a full horn Buffalo nickel was very fine?! Grading has changed and will continue to do so as time goes by, and hopefully for the better of the numismatic community. The "scammers" that you speak of on ebay are out there and I see "fake" gold all the time on ebay, but ebay won't do anything about it, because they don't have a numismatic "expert" on staff. I have called on the several times and showed them auctions that had counterfiet coins...same answer. American certified coins wants your business and will do whatever needs to be done to service the collector and dealer alike...and if anyone in your forum wants to talk with me please give them my email Hucky@coinsbyhucky.com. I want to thank you again for your interest and please do not hesitate to email any questions. Best Regards, Hucky

But that does not answer any of the questions that you asked. While his statements are right, it still does not show any experience in grading coins, operating a coin business, industry referrences, nothing.

http://www.acccoins.com/aboutus.htmThis gives some information. About experiance and pricing. The site looks good but than if no one knows about how well the gradeing is, than it's worthless. The Gradeing depends upon the reputation of the company as well as the number on the slab. It does seem to me to be a very easy way to make money. Buy a few holders and get collectors to send you their coins at their expense. Put them in the holder and give them your opinion of the grade on a piece of paper in the holder. I could start my own gradeing company. WGG. I think they are catchy letters. Send your coins to me...at WGG. WGG = Wild Guess Gradeing a division of WHOOPS WHOOPS = Wasted Heartache On Over Priced Services. LOL I'd rather not worry about the opinion of a gradeing company and buy more coins with the money I saved. I shouldn't joke like that. Sorry. I'm sure that this is a big problem for the high end, high value collectors. Since I'm still on the low end of collecting, I'm learning the mistakes to avoid.

While I am all for people going into business for themselves, I am skeptical of yet ANOTHER new grading company. I think they are trying to make it a legitimate company, however the responses in the email regarding market grading disturb me as I do not believe in it as being accurate. If you look on the holder sample, the second line is "ACC" and then either "MS" or "PF". Does this mean that they are going to be grading everything as one of these grades. In that case, they will be just as bad as the other companies mentioned above and are not needed in the numismatic marketplace.

This is not a grading company but the slab says it is an absolute guarantee of the coin traded on a coinbourse What the guarantee may be is not clear since I never saw a thing like this before It is also not clear to me what a silver melter and barmaker knows about gold Has anybody seen an Engelhard Clal slab before ? http://cgi.ebay.fr/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...y=17382&rd=1
