Looks like a real DDO not the common master hub doubling. Don't know which one though. Congrats.

Hi Everyone,
I'm a newbie on here and with coins.I have found a 1968 penny that looks very much like yours. Mine is more like yours on the opposite of face of the coin. The "L" in Liberty is almost on the lip of the coin and "IN GOD WE TRUST" is very close to the edge. The lettering seems kind of small. Also the coin has a red tint to it.
Wish I had a camera as good as yours.

carvols to CCF. Without pics it's very hard to say for sure what you have. Going by your description it sounds like MD not a DDO.

The date does not look right for the 002. Check for markers on coppercoins.com.
http://www.coppercoins.com/advsearch.php Also check the 007.

Here is a side by side for the 002-007 date area:

Note die scratches on the "7" and your coin? Also note the inner loop of the "9"? If we need more side by sides for these dies, I've got them. But it is clear to me which one it is. Nice find. Did it jump out at you when you found it?

A half way decent point-n-shoot will do with a little practice.
