Hi everyone

Was hoping to get some feedback about this coin.

It was given to me by my 95 year old grandpa and I was curious if the coin was an error from the mint or if anyone had an opinion on it

Thanks for the feedback

Welcome to the CCF serenity!

I'm guessing you wanted this moved to the Classic US error/variety forum so that's where I moved it for you.

Sadly to say however, this is not an error. It is simply a plated coin.
Plated with what though is the question.

It looks like plating that has partially peeled off.

i think someone spent way too much time putting solder on this. and it could be old, so there could be some lead in it.
