Coinaholic73: This is a modern replica or charm. Probably not designed to fool a collector, but made as a good luck token. You usually see them on red string, sometimes tied in a pattern with similar coins.
Most of the Chinese cash coins was cast, this one is machine struck. I'm not sure what the coin it is trying to replicate would be, but the reverse (bottom pic) shows the BOO CIOWAN mint (Board of Revenue mint) in Manchu.

It's a mass-produced machine-struck replica of a Tai Ping Tong Bao coin. Original Tai Ping coins date from the Song Dynasty, over 1000 years ago, so this is not one of the usual pieces from the "Ten Qing Emperors" replica set. The original Tai Ping coins also predate the Manchu invasion by over 500 years and so do not have Manchu script on the other side; they are usually plain.

"Tai Ping" translates to "Great Peace", and so the inscription is also often found on various amulets and coin-like charms. It also appeared on coins of the Taiping Rebellion, though not in conjunction with the "tong bao" characters and also never with Manchu on the other side.
