I just briefly looked online at JM Bullion and Silvertowne and they are both are almost going for the same price.

They both pretty much sell for the same price. Here is the slight difference to consider. The Maple leaf is .9999 silver, the ASE is .999 silver, with the rest being copper. The copper theoretically makes it tougher to wear down in your pocket. The Maple Leaf will theoretically wear faster.

Actually after reading what denco wrote about the silver percentage, I would say go with the Maple if its the silver content your after. If its the design I like both the same. It really comes down to what you like.

Interesting note on the .9999 verses .999... The 'coin' is 31.1 grams total. The refining process makes it 99.9% silver and 0.1% other (usually copper) for the .999 fineness, and 0.01% other on the .9999. so 0.1% of 31.1 grams is 0.0311 grams 0.01% is even lower at 0.00311 grams Three one-hundredths of a gram and three one-thousandths of a gram, massively different from each other but in comparison to a 90% coin or even lower content, say a 10% Mexican Peso. the .999 and .9999 are so close that it really does just come down to the flip of a coin

Common date Walking Liberty half in VF or perhaps EF condition. Here are 8 reasons: Half dollars don't circulate much Not easily confused with other coins in your pocket Not a huge loss if lost or stolen. Arguably the most beautiful silver coin ever designed 90% silver. Not overly heavy, or take up too much space in your pocket. Of great curiosity value to those who have only very little knowledge about coins, which is most of the population. That could make it a good starting point to a conversation. It would make a good pocket piece as well for for other than American people. Remember to take it out of your pocket before washing your trousers; the washing machine and drier may come off second best if you forget! In this regard, an Ike dollar would be a superior coin!
