Regards to the 36 dot----there has only been 1---obviously NOT meant for general circulation----therefore, it was manipulated in some sort of way---maybe for even a joke. That joke is now worth 2 Million?

If these facts are to be taken as accurate..

.. 3 or 4 dot cents in MS ..one with a few accidental added scratches after being stolen ..and then mailed back..

...and 5 .. SP 10 cent pieces kicking around..

..and naturally the dot 25 cent coins..

Those denominations especially the 1936 dot 25 cents were made on purpose. If you can review the mint report for 1937 it might shed more light on the situation. The 1936 cent dime conspiracy theories have been hammered to death. My opinion after years of researching the subject is this . The cent and 10 cent dies were made and never used as a supposed need for coins Never came to pass. Remember that 36 was the height of the depression. I have seen both the one cent and ten cent in person and they look like special strikes for sure (Specimen). My theory until proven otherwise ... back door jobs at the hands of the mint master or someone near to him. All of them originally came from a single source. there are no circulation strikes of either coin and I highly doubt one will ever be verified.

The 1c and 10c dots were made inside the mint and walked out. I think they are deliberate rarities for profit. If not for the equipment used they would otherwise be considered counterfeits.

The mint should be required to buy them in private , in secret and then destroy them publicly , never to be heard of again. Estimated cost about 10 Million, which could be paid off in the next 60-70 years----the time we have had to suffer with this abomination.
