What would you grade this NTC "MS65" Morgan dollar? Looks like a solid 64, just would like to a have a bias free second opinion.

It is weakly struck.

Eyebrow, neck point and hair above ear show wear so on the low end AU58 and maybe as high as MS62. It does have nice eye appeal. nlp

The strike is incredibly weak, I'm trying to decide if it is wear or just weakness.
Rest in Peace

Looks like there might be a faint touch of wear on the hair above the forehead, so maybe AU-58. Could still qualify as mint state depending on luster which can't be assessed based on these images. The toning looks original and seems to mask some field marks which likely preclude a gem (MS65) grade.

NTC is an untrustworthy grading service in general but that doesn't automatically mean this Morgan isn't a nice coin.

I'm not venturing a grade opinion without the reverse, but even on my smartphone I can tell it's a decent strike.

It looks just like a coin that my partner just sent in. He sent it to NGC, and it got no grade because they claimed that it was artificially toned. We both thought that it was the most gorgeous toning (like Yours) that we'd ever seen. We still think that they're wrong, and I love the toning on Your coin. I have no idea how they concluded their finding, but we don't believe them. They must have some kind of sniffer that detects chemicals. We cut it out of their slab and put it in an Airtite in our LCS, where it gets compliments all day long every day. Don't be surprised if they give You the same runaround. I love the look of Your Morgan. Good Luck if You send it in. I hope that You get the grade the we wanted.

Incredibly weak strike? Not from what I am seeing. Not going to venture a grade either for the same reason as Dave. Need to see the reverse.

I agree with junior, I would also be suspicious of the toning.

Obverse looks 63/64. Need to see reverse to render a final judgement. Dark toning is not generally appealing so doubt it is AT

I agree with fenton. Obverse 63/64 original toning.
