Hello ; not long ago I saw a listing for a Justinian Siliqua for $175. The coin looks like it's been heavily circulated/worn down ; but Siliqua from the Byzantine peroid are fairly rare .
So in all honesty do you think it is a good buy or not . Thanks

Justinian-Siliqua-?
Oh and it's from Carthage

I agree that these a fairly scarce. It's a nice coin, prices on this type has gone up in the last few years so you paid right at the value.

Not a bad buy. I'd have probably gone for this one if I weren't more interested in the Italian Byzantine issues of this era, but glad to see someone from here got it.

Yeah,it's always interesting to see how Roman coinage "devolved" in the 5th and 6th centuries , thanks .
Oh and the weight is 1.03 grams.

It's from a reputable VCoins dealer and much cheaper than the other examples there, so I think it's a good buy. I've never seen Justinian silver before.
