I picked these up today. Has anyone here bought or sold notes like these.

Not sure if they are worth keeping long term. Or if they would be easy to sell. Or just spend them

eight - 2003 $10.00 and six 2004 A $20.00

Personally I would spend them unless there are any low runs.

Can you please spend them near my house so I can find one? Never met a star I didn't keep.

Series 2003 $10 stars are from a 416,000 print run

Series 2004A $20 stars are from a 384,000 print run

This is the only help I can provide.

On the plus side the look crisp.
Without my currency catalog I've got no feeling for their relative rarity.
But I STRONGLY suspect that inflation will outstrip any premium they will gain over time.

But do an ebay search of COMPLETED auctions and see what pops up.

I did check the size of the print rings, saw the numbers ... But was not sure what was considered a short run.

Also checked ebay, some notes like these have sold at a premium over face.

Was interested on if other CCF members have bought and sold any like these.

I keep all star notes regardless of appearance... I look at it this way... 30 years from now it is a good bet that almost all of the notes today will long be gone and someone might just want to buy them and is willing to pay more then face for it...

Those notes come from very keepable print runs, in my opinion.

I noticed the notes had similar ending serial numbers so I bet they are from broken up uncut sheets.

640,000 or less is a low print run.

That's quite a bit a cash to hold on to for some, but considering they're uncirculated I'd hold on to them as long as possible

I think I will keep one or two of each, for my collection.

Put the others in my possible sell pile.

Thanks for your opinions
