Going to start some dansco albums soon and was wondering what most of you think. Do you like filling albums from mint sets or rolls? I understand that most modern coins may come from rolls or mint sets and earlier coins from wherever you can find them. Just like to hear some opinions.

I myself did most of the filling as goes
Proofs:busted proof sets from 1958-2014
1950-1957 bought the coins one at a time as I found them 2012 all mint marks coins were bought individually.
1959-2014 chopped up mint sets (aside from 2012-2014)
Everything else pre 1958 I searched ebay cojns shops coin shows to acquire the rest..
Franklins wash quarters Roosevelt dime Jefferson nickels "more or less" any less than stellar coins I had I upgraded with BU and the occasional AU coin I have maybe 18 quarters 7 dimes to go to have a true BU collection...the quarters may or may not get upgraded above AU due to the prices of pre 40 BU but ya never know I could get rich!! Enjoy the fun. Filling Dansco's is the single most exciting thing I have done coin collecting...nice easy to handle, easy to view..what more is there? I prefer the dansco's although I have a whitman "old" book for wheat cents. I put extras into that one anyways just my humble opinion!!

The greatest amount of coins I have all came from change, bags from a bank, jars from neighbors and freinds, flea markets, etc.

Maybe because I started out this way when I was 8, but I still prefer to pull my coins from circulation. Even if I buy a coin, I prefer to buy one that has seen use.

Even though I have a few uncirculated coins and some mint sets, they just don't do anything for me.
