I have been looking for a nice album for Washington quarters dates 1965-1998. Does anyone have any recommendations? I have not been able to find a good one. The only item I was able to locate was a folder which was labeled US Mint and was made by Whitman, but the description was really sparse and the pictures didn't show what the inside of the folder looked like. I want to put them all in one nice album. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

most of the little folders wont work. Whitman/Harris takes 2 folders because the oddity in the timeframe they stated the State Quarters. I jsut went with the 2 from HArris since they were garden variety common quarters. If you get a blank quarter folder then it should be able to hold all of them from 65-98 of a single mintmark. would still take 2 folders to do it, but you would be able to have the spacing of your choice for them. i don't know much about albums that let you see both sides, because I just get sets to have and the folder often have a place to put one example of the reverse so I can still see what the eagle on the back looks like as well as all the dates and mintmarks. so the questions are, do you want to be able to view both sides? do you want complete year & mintmark sets to fit?

Mintmarks! FYI, this topic will probably get moved to the "Supplies" forum. Most collectors here will recommend an album over a folder for many reasons. I personally like Whitman Classic and Dansco albums, but the general preference of this forum is for Dansco, methinks. You can do some searching on Amazon or any number of coin/stamp collecting sites out there to find the right album for your needs, or you can create your own from blank pages if nothing suits how you wish to collect.

Perhaps the biggest determinant is whether or not you want the proofs included. I believe DANSCO makes with and without but I'm not certain.
Good luck with the set. This is a fun set in any grade but look for nice attractive coins with nice clean strikes from good dies. A few come marked up quite a bit. All of them can be found in nice attractive VF and better in circulation as well. If you desire Uncs then checking a few mint sets will always produce nice specimens. Most of the rolls are hard to find anyway.

I just picked up the nickels version of this folder from Warman's. It's pretty nice looking. They are a bit larger than the other brands, but hold more years of coins as a result. Goes from 1959-1998. It won't have a space for proofs, just regular circulating mint marks. http://www.amazon.com/Washington-Qu...p/1440212910EDIT: looks like they are out of stock. If you can find it somewhere, I think that's the one you want.

Dansco has Washington quarter albums from 1932-1998, one with proofs and one without. I know you said 1965-1998 but the Dansco will be more fun because the silvers will be more challenging.

I'll be darned. I think it's just terrible no one is making an album just for the clad. I know there was one ten years ago but don't remember the manufacturer right now. You might try googling it. Here's a good source except that there are none with just clads. http://www.brooklyngallery.com/cgi-...&parent=0905

If you go with the Dansco or Whitman and don't want to do the silvers, you can take these pages out and place them in the end of the book backwards. You can use these "blank" pages for extras or anything else you like.

OK. I found an old thread. There was an ad in the 12-1-03 Coin World. Apparently it is (was?) an HE Harris product made by Whitman.

If this is the one you already have then my guess is no one makes a nice album for eagle reverse clads and you'll have to do as AlbumAccumulator suggested.
It's hard to understand why there were no folders until 1984 and possibly still no quality albums. It's quite apparent that there isn't much interest in these coins and most are collected as an afterthought to the silver issues.

I've got several Whitman Classic Albums with Quarters from 32 to 98 all in one binder. If you go to the Whitman web site you can see all they make under the names of Whitman, Harris and US Mint products. And as already noted most should be available at Wizzard coin supply.

Thanks for the great responses. I am going to order the only folder available at this time. At least it will get all the quarters on one place and when I am ready I will create a nice album. I've never made an album from blank pages before so I need to do some research into making labels. I really want it to look nice.
It's a shame there isn't a good ready made album. This should be a fairly easy and inexpensive set to assemble.
And I thought it would take about 5 minutes to order. Go figure.
