Hi guys!

Ok, been enjoying the FIFA games, havent missed a single game. Today is great, enjoying the games and no work and plenty of time to look up coins and read up on coins.

I already bought the Paris Mints domed silver coin.

I have seen the various coins for for the 2014 silver FIFA coins and gold ones.

What are your personal favorites? I want to get a few more to mark this enjoyable series! Please chip in.

wow really surprised how quiet it was here, after such an exciting FIFA world cup!

I marked the occasion with three coins-

The France domed silver coin, Cooks Island Fuleco colored coin and the Brazilian Fuleco coin 5 Reais...

In gold, the best gold coin is the 1 oz gold domed coin from the Paris Mint.

Well there are very few football coins I have ever thought worthy of being a coin in the first place. I like football and coins but usually the two of them combined lead to images I don't actually like.

I've posted this one before, but I got this official Korean medal made by KOMSCO. I guess the mintage of 8,888 represents "S. Korea's 8th consecutive World Cup entrance," also the translation of the reverse center and the theme of the reverse design.

Given FIFAs reputation..I would have thought wooden Nickels would have been more honest!

wow Matteproof-

what a beautiful coin, thank you for sharing, I had never seen that one, what is the composition of that coin?

I really have liked the domed France coins, I missed one from Ecuador that looked really nice....

I think the mascot on coins really looks nice, I guess I am going to have to show you guys lol

The French dome shaped coin I don't find that interesting. Five years ago, when the Monnaie de Paris issued the Astronomy/Apollo coins (same shape), that was an interesting novelty. But now ...

Brazil, as the host country, issued several coins (Au, Ag, Cu-Ni), see here: http://www.bcb.gov.br/pec/appron/ap...opa_2014.pdf Well, I am not so fond of the designs. Germany, the 2014 world champions, issued a stamp very quickly after the final, but not a coin.

Here is a football coin (UK 2012) that I like; it explains the offside rule. Yes, I know there was a debate about whether the explanation is correct or not; I just find the idea and design to be appealing ...

nice coin there Chris, I like it!

Yea those earlier domed coins were ahead of my time. I have seen the gold domed coin in pictures and its really beautiful, and seeing I enjoyed the entire FIFA games, its a special coin to me.

I did pick up one brazilian coin featuring Fuleco which looks really nice!
