All - I am thinking this may be a lamination error under the "CA" in America. Can you confirm? or let me know if it may be something else. Relatively low mintage Jefferson nickel. Thanks

It might be die chips in that area. Or something on the coin. (I've seen clear grease in this area mostly on cents) The die that struck your coin is showing age. But a closer shot might reveal more?

Glare is covering anything you want to show. But I think we can rule out lamination as the surface would be lower in that area. It appears to be raised from your images. So it maybe a die issue rather than a planchet issue.
