Sorry doubledieman - copyrighted material so I can't. Looks to be the same spread but let's wait for another person to confirm here (maybe you can get to a LCS and have a look at a copy). What is interesting is that when I think of DDOs for this date, my mind jumps to the variety with the large LIBERTY offset (-001 at CC). -002 is the more valuable DDO for that year and your variety (Red Books?) is of course, not listed. Scarcity will be interesting since I can't recall someone here posting that one but I've seen a few -001 over the past few months. Yours is the first I've seen with that spread and when looking up the value on my -001, I was surprised to see the picture of your variety there instead of -001's. If there is a correlation between what's pictured and the Red Book value, $300 would seem to more than cover the insurance on your coin. Maybe it was under all of our noses all along. That might make this all the more interesting that a variety pictured in the Red Book was never formally recognized until you brought it to the coin collecting community's attention! Is there any offset in LIBERTY on your coin by the way?

Hello John1, send me a PM of the RedBook's photo or email me artisthouseauction (at) g mail com a copy paste. Y0u asked "Is there any offset in LIBERTY on your coin by the way?" No. The liberty shows no notching or spread of any kind. Where I couldn't get a clear photo of more doubling (do to my camera) was on O D in God... the date had NO double at all. Slight doubling in the hair top of the head and that's it.

John1 I forgot to ask, how many of those specimens you mention 1995-P like mine listed in the RedBook have been discovered to date? Whats the value on a coin with a low count or even for a new discovery? Whom do you sell such a one-of-a-kind coin

Doubledieman - Have a look at this listing for a 1995 D that has a similar look. The values stated here might correspond with your coin but it assumes that roughly the same percentage of DDOs. Fewer Philly coins minted (6.4B vs 7.1B at Denver), so maybe favoring the value slightly (if all things are even which they are likely not). Good luck! http://coppercoins.com/lincoln/dies...ie_state=eds

Hello Rackster, the coin here http://coppercoins.com/lincoln/dies...ie_state=eds is very close but still different and its a 1995-D. Very close. Mine has no spread on the IN - IGWT - it starts to spread in G very slightly the on the O & D in God and so on. I should here back late next week. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7TF, Thanks for your opinion too, I will send it to ANACS if its a DDO new discovery. It could be a scarce rarity I might sell at http://www.ha.com maybe they could put it in what they call the fun auction it doesn't warrant their regular auction. I will keep you dated Thanks you all again Edward

Ha would not sell a coin for me that was valued at over $2,000 unless I had other rare coins valued at $5,000 or more. I wish you the best and I hope it gets a high grade MS grade and is worthy of there auction. What is the Fun auction? Do you have a link explaining it and what they allow to be submitted?

Hi Edward - I figured I toss out the 95D listing to give you ballpark on the insurance you might want for your coin but it looks like it's on the way to John Wexler. It'll be neat to see how this shakes out.
At any rate, my quick scan of the IGWT is going to be a more detailed inspection. I had focused too much on LIBERTY and given no notching/spread, it can't be used solely to find all varieties for 1995 (or should I say, he one's I look for). I wasn't aware of the 1995D variety either until your coin appeared. So in any sense, the shake up has already begun.

Hello again, Rackster, you stated "I wasn't aware of the 1995D variety either until your coin appeared" to assure the mint mark, my is a P not a D variety. I don't want you going through 1995-D's a looking for my variety when its on the 1995-P. I hope you find one. 7TF, http://www.ha.com does have a minimum of a $5K subletting criteria, that's true. However, they do not take any and all coin to accumulate a $5K min. They literally pick out what they want to sell out of your collection. If it meets there guidelines, you're in. ALL COINS MUST BE SLABBED or they will slab it for you if the estimate of the item exceeds way beyond the slab costs. On the other hand, when I spoke to Harry at HA, he stated, I will quote: "If you get the coin recognized as a new variety and very important, "labeled", if fact as a new discovery piece, I will bring it up with my colleges and see if we will auction it off for you". Also, you can join http://www.ha.com, they do have a feature on there website where you can submit a photo of your coin(s) for consideration. They do respond in a couple days. I hope this was helpful Thanks Edward Jordan

Theanks for the link Edward. My coin was a rare VAM and they are one of those things that are only valuable to certain people. Others would look at the coin and not see the value. DDO is a different story and having a Discovery label on it would definitely give it more interest. Kris

Hi Edward - thanks for the follow-up. Yes, I know yours is a Philly minted specimen so now I'm looking for your variety and the 1995D-1DO-003. My list is getting longer!

Your welcome. 7TF, if you submit a photo to HA.com tell me the outcome is.
Rackster, coin hunting is fun for sure and I have a long list too LOL. I found out the roll I bought which I discovered this coin in, this seller had three rolls left, I just bought the last 3 rolls he had. Maybe I'll find another, Ya right anyway They're on there way in the mail... but it's always good to think so eh?
I can't wait to hear from Mr. John Wexler next week, this is exciting for me.

I ended up selling my coin to a local collector of VAMs for a reasonable price. If I ever run into a rare coin again I will make sure and send Ha some photos and let everyone know if they end up selling any for me. That is awesome you were able to get the other 3 rolls from the same seller. Have fun searching them and I hope you get an entire roll of DDO!

Always be positive and optimistic. While finding another might be unrealistic, could you have slept wondering about the other 3 rolls? I couldn't!
As an 18 year old, I heard a waitress dump a roll of quarters into the drawer - solid silver. I jumped from behind the grill and pulled out a $10 and bought all of them. I then realized I'd have to fetch a new roll of quarters for the drawer. Having the key to the cash box, I immediately thought there might be another roll of silver. I was right! There were 3 more rolls. So maybe some good juju is heading your way in the mail. You never know.
So, you will likely feel like a little kid a week before Christmas for the next few days. Waiting on John Wexler's news and the rolls in the mail - sleeping and eating might be a bit more laborious! French fries and milkshakes might help you to get by!

I'm curious...what made you think this was a new DDO...larger spread, in wider swath of coverage? Die markers not shown on coppercoins? Be specific, so I can check my 95-P DDO in raw state. TY Calvin
