If this Seller suddenly starts listing high dollar bullion deals watch out.
Could this be a scam in the making like the one we just saw with "TomCassata" to the tune of 80K$? (and still counting!)

How is this a scam? The coins are not forgeries, and the seller's description although incomplete does not appear to be false. It's not known if he purchased from HA or from someone else, and he does not have any obligation to disclose where it was obtained. Deceptive, perhaps. A scam, no. That's my opinion.

It's just deceptive right now. The scam is on the horizon by what he does over the next few weeks.

Maybe he'll end the cracked out Seated dollar, too. If I was a betting man I'd wager that the 1892-S Morgan was in an unc details (scratch) holder at one time. These coins will end up on ebay again. Just a matter of when and what the accuracy of the listing will be.

If I owned the Seated dollar, I would dip it and "taco bell" it. The cleaning mentioned on the holder could mean different things -- perhaps the discoloration is dip residue (it looks like there's a very good chance of that) and that might qualify as "harsh cleaning". There is a chance its appearance could be greatly improved with little to no downside.

That 27-S was obvious from the beginning it was cleaned. I even thought it may have been a fake. I wouldn't have even bothered to crack it out.
