Were the rolling machines back them really bad? Reading the Neutrals and Negatives for the seller, it seems most of them were about how the "unsearched rolls" had nothing or little good in them.
The plus if you bought this, is you get a 1911 Indian Quarter Eagle.

This is incredible that they could pass this off. I'm sure the bidders knew it wasn't original.

So, assuming this was legitimate error, the bank would show a debit of $2.49. I guess that could go unnoticed day to day. But you'd think a bank teller would notice the gold coin at some point and switch out the roll.

Dealers used to stack these rolls back in the 50s.

And I thought the "UNSEARCHED ROLLS WITH Mercury dime ENDS" were bad enough.

On another forum website, a member found an Indian quarter eagle while CRH dimes. True, it wasn't an ender, but it can happen.
