I have a PCGS graded 1909-S VDB Lincoln Cent. The slab says VF-25, but when I checked it up on the Certification Verification thing on PCGS.com, it includes the description of "BN" or Brown. Is this anything to be worried about?

Thanks for looking!

I would assume virtually all VF-25 specimens would be BN.

Nothing to worry about. I don't know why they would place BN on it a mid grade cent...I have never seen an RB cent below AU.

Let's see what it looks like!

It's possible that all cents are given the color designation (It was even seen for awhile on steel cents) but it is only printed on the label for AU and up. Why? because like oih82w8 said you don't have RB below AU or RD below MS. But BN can appear on any grade.
