I am in need of a second unbiased opinion. I think I know what this is... What do you think is going on with this coin. It is a 1942S Jefferson "War" Nickel. This does not appear to be PMD... as some of the lines continue into the area of question...

I agree does NOT look like PMD but either a struck through foreign item or grease blob.

PMD will remove any part of the design and generally cause the metal to look moved. This still has design features inside the depression with features showing. A neat error to many collectors. Worth a small premium to them, not much though, most date/MM collectors would avoid this coin as it is not a perfect coin, and would value it even less than normal. It all depends on who your buyer is.
