I'd garner up an AU55 grade, as I can't tell if there is any luster from the photo. The coin is usually found struck fairly weak, hence the little detail showing above the ear one on the eagle's breast. If the coin is lustrous I may change my mind to mid/high MS.

I agree with AU55. The story I've read on the 1880 issue in NO is that a large quantity of the coins minted that year were released into circulation but soon after most were returned and ended up in storage. The result is a very large quantity of AU coins in existence. This issue is a bit pricier in MS condition than most other common dates especially at MS64 & up.
This is one of the dates I suggest that anyone who is not very experienced at grading Morgans only purchase graded by a TPG in MS condition at MS pricing.

Thanks guys for your inputs, looks like the consensus is going for AU55, is it mainly because of the lack of lustre or do you see any wear on high points ?

AU-55, there is definite wear in the hair but New Orleans has some weak strikes so.... Either way there is very little luster visible in the pics so no way to discern based on that.
