I'm simply thankful it was not a silver half dollar in there! Thanks for the laugh

I stupidly left a silver 1964 Kennedy half in the cash register at work once. Kicked myself when other members on here told me what it was on my previous account. Still upset.

Would you forgive yourself if a member in this forum sent you a 1964 Kennedy to replace that mistake?

This looks like a Plexiglas donation box at the cashiers counter am I right? I feel the same way when I walk past the coinstar and wonder if there was any silver someone else got to before I did. There's always more finds to come!

Mr Click, I actually found one in my grandfathers collection from the commerative sets the banks have for sale. A bit nasty looking. I actually haven't thought of that incident for some time. This discussion is what made me remember about it.

I know just how you felt. A couple of weeks ago I saw a Mercury dime in Mcdonalds in their donation box....Why do people do this to us?

For this reason, I deliberatly try to avoid looking into donation boxes. Saves me from the grief of seeing something that should be mine...but can't...
