I stupidly left a silver 1964 Kennedy half in the cash register at work once. Kicked myself when other members on here told me what it was on my previous account. Still upset. Edited by MorganCoinFan

This looks like a Plexiglas donation box at the cashiers counter am I right? I feel the same way when I walk past the coinstar and wonder if there was any silver someone else got to before I did. There's always more finds to come!

Mr Click, I actually found one in my grandfathers collection from the commerative sets the banks have for sale. A bit nasty looking. I actually haven't thought of that incident for some time. This discussion is what made me remember about it.

I know just how you felt. A couple of weeks ago I saw a Mercury dime in Mcdonalds in their donation box....Why do people do this to us? |

I saw several 2014 dated British 1p and 2p coins in McDonalds Plexiglas donation boxes weeks before I got my first ones in change!

For this reason, I deliberatly try to avoid looking into donation boxes. Saves me from the grief of seeing something that should be mine...but can't...
