Out of all the places where one could find a 1909 VDB, I found one in the Lincoln and Kennedy commerative set in my grandfather's collection. There is also a brilliant toned 1943 Steel cent but unfortunately it does show signs of age. I'll try and post pictures at some point. What's the most unusual location you found a classic coin? (pictures are welcome)

My backyard when I was 12. A nice Seated dime with some environmental damage. I promptly ruined by harshly cleaning it. But WTH, I was 12. Still have it almost 50 years later.

My first coin was one that Dad found in an old, discarded trunk. It was a 1795 Dollar, three leaves, in AG condition. I traded it with a local pastor for a number of old type coins; those being the start of my coin collection. I seem to recall that it "booked" $40 in 1956.
