F-15, but with the scratch in front of Lincoln, F-12.

These are hard to grade. VF-25 details for that bad gouge under A on the reverse and a prominent scratch next to Lincoln's face.

The coin is "fine" but I doubt the TPG's will slab it due to the marks and scratches.

I'd bet it has been sent in a few times already.

VF-30 details, genuine, obverse damage, reverse corroded and poorly cleaned.

Mine is graded VF-25 and has slightly more detail than the one linked to.
That one is probably an F-15 with a slight shot at a VF-20.

And if it slabs it most likely will go into a DETAILS holder.

The strength of the second "2" vs. the first one bothers me.
Yes, one diagnostic IS that the second "2" is stronger than the first but ...

I HIGHLY recommend avoiding that coin since it is NOT slabbed.
Of course if you know what you're doing then you can ignore my recommendation.

I thought the same thing when I looked at this coin, it's a little too strong.

Hey thanks guys. I was concerned about a possible details grade with the scratches, etc. Since a lot of you mentioned "details," I will stay away. Way too risky, especially at that price.

with the above. There are enough obvious issues to warn a buyer.

I would not bid on this coin ... personally do not have enough expertise to gauge authenticity on my own.

Strongly suggest the same for you.

I have enough experience with these coins to gauge authenticity, but the 'details' risk, price, and poor seller return policy.....'nuff said. Thanks
