I find the no-stars Seated dime design more appealing than the design with stars. This 1837 is nicely toned and has some reflective surfaces.

I would greatly appreciate your opinions.

AU-58. Great eye appeal!
I must agree that the No Stars variety looks better than the With Stars variety!

I'm going to say AU-53 as well. Recently purchased an 1837 1/2 dime AU50, so I have something to gauge from.
Rest in Peace

This coin is a real beauty. I dont see a whole lot of luster, but I dont see wear either. Due to eye appeal, I'd give it a 55, although technically 53 is probably more accurate.

AU-53

I think this is F-102 since it has a small date and doesn't appear to have any reverse rotation going on. http://seateddimevarieties.com/date...7varpage.htm

AU-53. I must say I like the no stars dimes, but they are a little too plain for me.

Beautiful coin AU55
Maybe not an F-102
You've got to diagnose the obverse to determine the die pairing and whether obverse 2 or 3, it's an earlier die state as no signs of degeneration have occurred on this specimen based on pics shown which are determining factors for reverse pairing in the 102 or 103
