This is the final semi-key I needed for my VF+ IHC set. I only need 4 more coins to complete the dansco set!! SO CLOSE!! It was certified by NGC. I think NGC overgraded it, as they tend to do for IHC key and semi-keys...but I payed much less, so I was ok with it. Anyways, what did NGC grade it? and what would you grade it? Sorry for the glare. The coin is not that glossy in hand, I was just trying to capture all of the coins detail in hopes to not make NGC look too bad in their overgrading The surfaces are actually very nice, evenly toned, and no noticeable abrasions other than the reverse rim ding.

It makes XF40, then NGC probably overgraded it to 45.

I see VF-35, so NGC probably bumped it up a level.

VF30 to me could see a 35 as well. The glare on the Obverse photo is making it hard for me to tell.

I see the coin as a VF-35. An overgrade would be calling it a 40/45. Since you seam to think this overgrade was especially egregious, I'm going to say NC went crazy and called it an AU-50.

I'm thinking they had it at 40, but it's closer to a 30.

redraider and chasingtailbar nailed both NGC's grade of the coin, and my opinion of the grade of the coin. NGC gave it a 40, I'me with vermontensium and the others at VF30. The surfaces are exceptional though and its a beautiful coin....just not in XF territory, but I knew that going into it. thanks for your opinions.
