Looking at this coin in the Sear book.
The reverse is different.
Book has Victory and Liberty holding a trophy.
This coin maybe Victory and Liberty with
VOT
V
MVL
Between them ... (if I am seeing the letters right)
Is there a reason for different reverses?
Is the "A" a mint mark?
on a previous coin it was posted the FPAR was mint mark
and that coin also had a "A".

The "A" is a field mark, not a mint mar,

This should be your coin. It looks like it's from the Trier mint.

After posting this .. I started looking at the book I got today.
I am guessing the Mint marks and reverses will be explained there.

I will try to read some of this book before posting more coins ...

The shield on the reverse is insrcibed VOT-V-MVL-X, so it is not from Trier, but rather Arles...the mintmark will be something like PAR or SAR

It is a very nice portrait of a relatively hard to find emperor !
Once again the coin has eye appeal and would normally be priced much higher than you seem to have paid.
You did well to grab these while the opportunity was there.
You may be hard pressed to find these sort of deals again for some time.

The 'book' you have is not a complete listing of all types. For that you need something comprehensive like the RIC.
What you have acquired with the 1983 Sear reference is more of a handy, affordable and easy to use reference with most of the general types in an easy to use format. For now this should be adequate. As mentioned previously the 4 current volumes would have set you back around $300.
Money you would do well to use for coins at present.

Victor,

Thanks for catching my goof on the lettering on the shield.
