Looks Like Penny Is Stamped 2021 Or 2024

mrsphxbabe New Member United States 6 Posts	Posted 08/03/2014 1:35 pm Hello This penny is in rough condition, however there are alot of "errors" I believe. mrsphxbabe New Member United States 6 Posts	Posted 08/03/2014 1:45 pm if you are able to zoom in on the picture you can clearly see the damaged rot spots, but you can also see the lettering is off, the E in WE has a curly like E not a straight backed E. Also the nipple at the top, the way the face is, and the date, please look closely I'll try to post more pictures from different angles. Report this Post to the Staff

The thin copper plating has been compromised either by the environment or damage which exposes the core to air & moisture and in turn it begins the process of corrosion. Zinc is highly corrosive.
