Nothing special, purchased today for a nominal premium over melt as a companion piece to its Mexican equivalent, the Maximilian Peso, just to be able to show how derivative the design of the latter was.

I always find it a little surprising that some .900 fine crown sized silver coins of the 19th Century, in Fine or better condition, can be bought for so little above melt value.

It is for this reason that I have quite a few 19th Century crown sized silver coins; for me they are much more interesting than modern bullion silver.
