I saw a television ad today from Monaco Rare Coins offering Morgan dollars. Specifically they are 20 different dates and mintmarks in MS 63 or 64, and all in TPG slabs. If you buy 20 you get an extra one for $1.00. There was no price mentioned in the ad.

I went to their website because I was curious about the price and found virtually the same information there, again with no price listed.

Does anyone have any experience with them, or know what the asking price is? I know I can find out by calling their phone number, but I have no desire to listen to a used car like sales pitch.

Sounds pretty sketchy. I'd just stick to APMEX for bulk TPG'd Morgans, if you're not looking for particular dates.

Monaco Rare Coins s a good dealer, they deal in mainly high dollar gold rarities. $100K - $1 million and up. For common date Morgans I'd prefer to pick my own coins slabbed or not. There are high end MS64s and low end MS64s. You can only guess what end you will get in a bulk lot.

If you make any purchase from them, be prepared for an endless onslaught of phone calls, mail, email, texts and any other media that they can use to interrupt your privacy with sales pitches.

Yep I saw they had some free brochures they sent out free of charge--like a dummy I provided my phone number and they called every couple of months trying to sell me coins.

Let me share my story from 2012. The second call I received the rep went through his "Morgans are the best thing since apple pie speech, let me sell you some". Roll of 20 for $xxx.xx (I wasn't a buyer), a roll of 10 for $xxx.xx (I wasn't a buyer) finally he said, "Let me send you 5 Morgans" I could afford that so I gave him my info and went on my way.

No charge to my card, nothing even though the rep said they'd ship them out immediately. After a couple of weeks I opened a BBB complaint against them because in the meantime the same rep called trying to sell me other coins. Monaco's reply to my complaint was a whole lot of nothing. I wanted Monaco to send the coins or take my number out of their list. They didn't send the coins and said they'd take my number off their call list.

In 2013 I still received calls from them every now and then. I simply hung up didn't even give the rep a chance to get their sales pitch going. I don't think they've called this year...maybe they got the message.

Sorry for the lengthy reply of my dealings with this outfit.
