there was no need to start a second thread about your 1968-S. It looks more like Machine Doubling (MD) than DDO.

cool. never have posted to a forum before. after I posted I realized I forgot to ask if it was in fact a DD.

Just the common machine damage we see so often on the 1968-1972 cents. Sorry. Keep looking.

thanks, coop! I'm a micro photographer. getting into looking for errors was only natural. I have a pretty awesome microscope/camera hybrid. Ill be sure to post my first epic find!

Dinobelli!

The blob on the 1954-S is a die chip, which were pretty common on 1950's Lincoln cents.
These are not really collectable, as there are so many out there, however it is technically an error. I would keep it for reference.

I'm sure if you keep looking, you will come across some neat finds. I've found many DDO's searching pennies, so they are out there!
