My guess is that the 'doubling' was caused by the machine. It was - maybe - not adjusted properly. When I see die flow lines in the fields I tend to blame the equipment rather than the dies.


That MM, however, is a bit of a puzzler. It looks like somebody reached in side and tried to pull out a paper clip.

No, Machine Doubling does not add a premium.

This coin was struck by a VLDS. That is why you see the heavy die flow through that area.
