to CCF. Check if they are "coin rotation." A normal US circulating coin should be "rotated 180 degrees," meaning that if you were to place the obverse (front) right-side up and turn it over from top to bottom, the reverse (back) should be right-side up. A 180 degrees rotation on a US coin would mean that the tops of the designs on the obverse and reverse are aligned to each other, which is called "medal rotation." If you don't get what I mean, just google the terms.
Yes a common misunderstanding about the US coinage. All of ours are like that. In many other countries, they do the opposite making the reverse and obverse sort of the same as far as orientation.
