Hello hows it going ccf?
I recently bought some brown Ikes with a variety of dates including the 1973-s.
I would love to naturally tone these and sell a couple to make some profit.
They are in the plastic case so I cannot remove them and do it raw.
I would love to hear ideas on how to tone them naturally and safely.
Thanks!

Natural toning will take time. The toning you see on the brown ikes are natural toning that have taken place over the four decades that the Ikes have been in their original casing. I doubt that you will be able to recreate such beautiful, vibrant natural toning in a relatively short period of time without decreasing the coin's value by artificially toning it and not being caught as artificial toning.

Raw is easy (still takes time). Windowsill on an oak,or other hardwood, board. I am doing a harshly cleaned large cent this way....it takes sooooooo much time though.

ok so here goes if you treat coin wrappers with sulfur by soaking them put coins in wrappers in a couple of years they will be toned but I only do it with cents because all the coins will be toned some "most" will be way to toned some ugly but there is always one that is just the most perfect one youve ever seen!

How do you know toners will be perceived as having added value once you've waited the decades that natural toning will take? It's not a matter of a couple years. Just store them in an environment conducive to toning, and wait 40 years or so.
