I just came across a Cheerios thing containing a 2000 penny and the Sacagawea dollar (still unopened). What could this go for now days? If it's reasonable, how should I go about selling it? From my research only 5500 were minted and it's considered a pattern. I don't collect coins so I would rather this be in the hands of someone who could appreciate its value. (Sorry if wrong forums -- new user.)

Welcome to Coin Community, darkskyj. You have in your possession a coin set of considerable value. Potentially, 5-figure value. A similar set, graded by a reputable company at a high grade, sold for $11,500 last night at Heritage Auctions.
Although the Cheerios Sacagawea variety can be correctly identified without proof that it came in a Cheerios box (as you say, it's a variety which *only* came with Cheerios), I recommend that you have them authenticated, graded and encapsulated by PCGS, which is considered by most to be the third-party grading company at the top of the heap. You'll either need to acquire a membership, at a cost of roughly $100 plus the cost of grading, or have the coin submitted through a dealer-member of PCGS.
By some chance is it possible for you to acquire high-quality pictures of your coins?

Welcome and you do indeed have a very rare coin. If only I could find one like that at say a garge sale?

The Lincoln Cent isn't special. It came by itself in every Cheerios box.

How lucky you are! We bought three or four boxes back in 2000, and each only had the Lincoln Cent.

Wow, thanks for the speedy responses. I just created an account with PCGS and will be submitting it to them for grading. I am unable to provide photographs, but will let you know the results of the grading when they come.

Quick update. I was tempted and opened the outer packaging of the case it came in from the Cheerios box. Even without a magnifying glass, I can confirm that there is a high level of detail on the tail feathers. As a reminder, the coin was never circulated. It is still in the packaging that I pulled out of the Cheerios box (I think it's air-tight too). Hoping for the best from PCGS then. =D

What outer package did you open? I'm guessing they came wrapped in something? If it's still sealed in the clear plastic that it came in, leave it alone. PCGS might not grade it if it's opened. But from what I'm understanding, it seems that you still have it intact.

You are correct. There are two layers to the wrapping. The outer one is plastic surrounding a piece of paper and the inner package, the air-tight part. I'm going to send it to them with the original outside packaging (It says Cheerios and gives a Certificate of Authenticity). The last thing I want to do is jeopardize any sort of proof of authenticity, and I had that in mind when I opened the outer package. I wanted to confirm that it was indeed the Cheerios coin before investing in having it graded. You can't see the back of the coin, as it is obstructed by the paper backing. I read something about fake ones in Cheerios boxes.

Like Gary, we ate a lot of Cheerios that year, but all we ever got were these:
