1st, he describes this counterfeit 1856-cc Dollar as being an 1856-s quarter, but, the best is his disclaimer, "This is use coin that got from customer instead of money. I don't really know much about coins if need any info ask me I will and answer u." lol.

his other counterfeit is pathetic:

He forgot to add the word "liberty" on the obverse.

2 bids, $460. Maybe these buyers need to learn a very expensive lesson.

The prevailing point of view seems to be that with ebay's "Buyer Protection Plan" you're assuming no real risk.

This is only true if the buyer realizes that they have been had or the listing is reported and removed by ebay.

That's right Joe. I sometimes trace the feedback left by people who end up with counterfeits and they are almost always oblivious, saying something like "nice coin".

I pretty much only collect Indian cents on ebay, and I probably see a counterfeit almost once per day. And often it is a couple hundred plus coin. Can only imagine the numbers across all coin types.

I like the description for the Trade dollar:

"Grade: Extremely Free"

On the plus side it is FREE shipping! lol

(facepalm) there's a sucker born every minute...

I think this is the only genuine coin he/she is selling. But the title sure isn't accurate.
