The 1943 is looks cleaned, in low end VF-XF shape. The eye appeal is poor, to me. I'm a tough grader, though.
The 1935 is XF-AU to me, with a full crown band and hair details on the front, and only light wear on the sails on the reverse. The ship's hull is still distinct from the water, and the bowsprit sail and yardarm are not worn into the bowsprit itself. The eye appeal is good. Of the two coins, I'd keep the 1935 and upgrade the 1943.
