Let me start off by saying that I'm 99% sure that this is a fake. It just doesn't look right to me. Is there any possibility that it could be real? I bought it for a few dollars to fill a hole in an album so I won't be upset if it's fake.

Absolutely fake. If you look at pics of a genuine example, you will see that it's completely off, not a chance.

Ok, just as I thought. I was going to scratch COPY on to it somewhere but wanted to make sure there was no chance of it being real before I damaged it. That's one less to worry about now.

These fakes do serve as good educational pieces to show fellow collectors and would-be collectors.

Very poor counterfeit. If they were all like this, there would be little risk to collectors.

I never thought I would see the infamous " DDR repunched US of A, offset date, uneven stars" mint error in real life!

I doubt the designer of that knock off had even used a real one as a template. That's awful!
