Would you also be considering mint mark variations for the same year?

Don't forget any inverted MM. I like your style and LOVE your enthusiasm. Though Jeffersons are not my love, I feel a project like this is wwwwwaaaayyyyy overdue.

Where did you see information on 1952 S Large S or 1953 S Large S? I've never heard of these varieties! How about OMM varieties? 1971 Proof no S.

On the coins you have listed with a date on the obverse and a different date on the reverse..... how can you tell a '70 front has a '71 back?

Got my Jefferson nickels book and there was a lot of information I read through so far about the doubled die section. They mention some about other denominations also. But disappointed in that it didn't list all varieties. But It would probably take a book for each year if they listed all varieties for some years. I bought the 1959-D cent WRPMs (111 varieties) complete Wexler book on Cent WRPMs. Waiting for the 1960-D. (It will probably be a two volume set.)

Coop, I told some people about the issue I had with no good reference for nickels at the Ocala Coin Club yesterday. A few of the members I asked laughed because one of our members who has been helping another guy a large nickel variety collector here in Florida out editing a book on them. He finished writing a book on Jefferson Varieties including modern ones, he owns almost all the coins and took almost the pictures and is in the editing or production stage. I will find out the authors name I only know the editor. Our club btw just got a 50 year ANA membership award has a lot of members including ANA Past President, authors, etc. This is all very interesting for me a newbie younger generation collector. http://www.coinweek.com/coin-clubs/...photo-diary/At yesterdays meeting we had Rick Bretz do a presentaion on both his book on Pedigree Coins ("Rick's Legacy â€" Pedigree & Hoard / Coins & Currency" and "Fitzgerald Silver Dollar Collection â€" The Purple Gang Set") Just regular coins from certain location in TPG grade slabs interesting not my cup of tea... http://rickspedigreecoins.blogspot.com

I don't know anyone in the first link. Nothing looks familiar to me.
I don't have the cherry pickers guides for listings of DD's on nickels. I agree it is hard to find a complete listing with images.

I would be interested in any new reference books on Jefferson nickels. I have been collecting nickel varieties for over 20 years and always have been looking for good reference materials. Another good ref although not complete listing is: The Best of The Jefferson nickel Doubled Die Varieties 2nd Edition by John Wexler and Brian Ribar. Also the is a Update: 2001-2002 to the Jeferson Nickel RPM Book that is a additional 21 pages that I am not sure are in the online PDF book.
