PLease give me your opinion on following piece:
a 1956 dime of which it looks like the planchet was incomplete.

As usual, no traces of reeding are to be found in the incomplete part of the rim.

No blakesley effect is seen at 180° opposite to the incomplete part.

Is this really an incomplete planchet or did some one try to manufacture an incomplete piece with some elbow grease?

The rim 'bite' is not large enough to produce the blakesley effect.
Nice minor error, in a silver coin.

I think is a genuine clipped planchet.

Very nice silver dime clip! This is typical of a minor clip on later date American silver.

Does any one have an idea what kind of value this piece has due to the clip? I am not selling, just interested to know what its value is.

Silver, BU/AU, Philly Mint, very small clip - I would say about $6 - 8.
